About Organization:

Youth Vote is an organization dedicated to empowering the next generation of voters—especially high school students who are not yet eligible to cast a ballot. Our mission is to ensure that young people gain the knowledge, resources, and confidence to engage meaningfully in politics long before they enter the voting booth. By providing education on civic responsibility, the electoral process, and key political issues, Youth Vote seeks to give the power back to the youth and make their voices matter even before they officially have one.

The organization was founded by Gregory Lyakhov, the youngest nationally syndicated columnist in the United States. Gregory writes weekly for major outlets such as Newsmax Media, Townhall Media, with additional contributions to the Wall Street Journal, New York Post, and The Hill, among others. His work reaches millions of readers nationwide and reflects a deep commitment to civic engagement, political awareness, and youth empowerment.

Youth Vote is built on the belief that the earlier students learn how their government works and how policies affect their lives, the more prepared they will be to shape the future of their country. By educating students today, we prepare tomorrow’s leaders to vote with knowledge, purpose, and conviction.

What We Do

Since its founding, Youth Vote has been one of the most effective voices in Washington, D.C., championing the civic potential of young people—especially high school students who aren’t yet old enough to vote. Through media appearances in major outlets, national conferences, original research, and direct engagement with policymakers on Capitol Hill and beyond, Youth Vote has successfully placed the voices and concerns of future voters at the center of today’s policy debates. We make civic engagement come alive for students by sharing knowledge in clear, relatable language—free of jargon and full of purpose. We find common ground and collaborate with individuals and organizations across the political spectrum because we believe that an informed, engaged youth is the foundation of a freer, more vibrant democracy. Youth Vote is built on a simple but powerful idea: the earlier young people understand how government works and how policies shape their lives, the more prepared they’ll be to lead with confidence, vote with conviction, and shape the future. We hope you’ll join us in empowering the next generation—not just to vote someday, but to matter right now.

Join our mission: Become a Partner

Our mission and work are made possible entirely through the tax-deductible contributions of supporters who believe, as we do, in the power of young people to shape democracy. Individuals—students, educators, parents, and civic-minded citizens—provide the vast majority of our support, with additional backing from foundations and mission-aligned organizations. Youth Vote has never accepted, and will never accept, funding from any government entity. We remain proudly independent so we can serve students without compromise.

We hope you’ll join us as a partner in this vital work—because when young voices are heard, democracy grows stronger for everyone.
